Pickup Soccer For Adult Soccer Enthusiasts

(It Isn't Just for Kids!)

Do you want to play in an adult soccer group for coaches, parents, and players who just want to have some fun and get some exercise? Players of all skill levels join together every Saturday or Sunday (check the updates below) for a friendly soccer scrimmage. There are no refs. We play 11 v 11 when we have enough players. When the group is too large we split into smaller games. Just bring a red and a white shirt (for when we divvy up teams), shin guards, and a positive attitude!

Playing time and location will be updated in the story below on a weekly basis. Please note that when we play on turf fields, $5.00 is collected from each player at the field to reimburse for the permit fee. Thanks for your interest and we hope to see you on the field!

Playing Saturday at Wakefield - Audry Moore Recreation Center

Sunday- 4/28/2012 Winterset- 5:30 to 7:30

It is the intention of this league that everyone gets to play and the level of play stays friendly, so if the sides get too large (over 12 v 12), they will be split into smaller teams.

Also try to bring a red (or dark) and a white shirt with you. It makes it easier. Thanks

Just off Little River Turnpike (Route 236) between Wakefield Chapel Road and Prosperity. From the beltway (Route 495) go past Northern Virginia Community College and turn right on Woodburn Rd. From Fairfax, Woodburn Rd. will be the left hand turn immediately after the signal for Prosperity. Take the first right off Woodburn into the Fairfax County Police station. The field is behind the police station on the right. Park in the back section of the police parking lot. Map

Wakefield Park
8100 Braddock Road
Annandale

Braddock Road (Route 620) immediately outside the beltway (Route 495). Heading toward the beltway, the entrance to Wakefield Park is on the left, at a stop signal for Queensbury Road on the right. Continue down the park road about 1/2 mile to the Rec Center on the left. The soccer field is located behind the Rec Center building.

Woodson East
Pickett Road
Fairfax

Woodson East is located between Frost Middle School and the Woodson HS stadium field. From the beltway, take Little River Turnpike (Route 236) west. At the Fairfax City line, turn left at the light onto Picket Road. Go to the end of Pickett Road and park in the Frost MS parking lot. The field is located down the hill behind Frost MS.
