At the pre-season Coaches’ Meeting in August the Rec Soccer webmaster asked coaches (who in turn could ask parents) to submit an occasional photo or two from their weekend action. Team photos, action photos, crowd photos...anything connected with their team’s Saturday game would do. So, after week one of the season, the ONLY photo the webmaster has received so far is a wonderful team picture of the U7 Boys Scorpions, submitted by Coach Bernie Fructuoso, who is hereby declared the winner of what will now become a weekly competition.
Now that it’s an "official" competition, the webmaster is looking forward to receiving many more photos in the weeks to come. Simply email them to brycstars@aol.com. Don’t forget to include some identifying information including your name, the team’s name, the coach’s name, and the date of the photo. (Individual photos should be sized to no larger than 1 Mbyte.) At the end of the season the webmaster will determine a winner, who will receive...who knows what? Maybe a BRYC T-shirt, maybe an All Star coach’s shirt, or tickets to an upcoming DC United game? Congratulations to Bernie and his League Director, Siobhan Starrs, for their innaugural victory.
