Braddock Road Recreational Soccer is divided into two age groups, the Junior Division for players ages 3-9 (U4-U10), and the Senior Division for players ages 10-18 (U12-U19). This is the jumping off point for individual pages containing information concerning each of the Junior Division leagues. It contains names and phone numbers for the League Directors and coaches; game schedules; an occasional photo; and notes from the League Directors as the season progresses.
BRYC’s Junior Division was one of the first in the area to adopt small-sided play, starting with the U5 players at 3v3. As the players age up the teams get larger, eventually including the goalie position. Small-sided soccer means more ball touches, more action, and less standing around. It also means more volunteers are needed to work with more small teams. No scores or standings are kept for any of the Junior Division play. It’s for the fun of it!
