Looking forward to an impressive 2010 season, D.C. Moreno became the MLS all-time goal-scoring leader after tallying number 109 on August 22, 2007. Moreno currently has 131 career goals to accompany 102 assists.

D.C. United has also announced the signing of Australian forward Danny Allsopp, the 31-year old striker from stints with England’s Manchester City, Australia’s Melbourne Victory – where he won two A-League Grand Final championships and a scoring title – as well as time with Australia’s national team. D.C. United Names New Head Coach and Assistants
Team Also Signs Veteran Goalkeeper and Two Midfielders

Curt Onalfo has been named as the sixth head coach in D.C. United’s proud club history. With long-standing ties to United (as a player, director of youth development, and assistant coach), Onalfo understands the culture of the team, and looks forward to a new chapter of success. Recently the head coach of the Kansas City Wizards (the first team United plays in the 2010 season), Onalfo led them to the playoffs each of the full seasons he served as the team’s head coach.

Coach Onalfo has named Ben Olsen, Kris Kelderman and Mark Simpson as his assistant coaches. Former teammates for DC United (Olsen and Simpson in 1998 and 1999, Simpson and Kelderman in 1996 and 1997), all have won multiple championships with the Black-and-Red.

D.C. United has also acquired goalkeeper Troy Perkins, the 2006 MLS Goalkeeper of the Year. Perkins returns to D.C. United and MLS after playing two years for Valerenga of the Norwegian first division. Additionally, two midfielders, Tiyi Shipalane and Cristian Castillo (on loan from Mexico’s Leon FC) were signed during the holiday season.  During the 2010 MLS SuperDraft, United selected defender Jordan Graye (DC native and former Unted Academy player) in the fourth round.
