Braddock Road Youth Club U16 Boys and U19 Boys teams participated in the Suburban Friendship League (SFL), allowing our boys to play in competition against a variety of teams of similar composition from around the area.  Sportsmanship, fair play, and a friendly atmosphere among all participants, including coaches, players, officials, and spectators are requirements for participation in the SFL.
The Suburban Friendship League (SFL)
BRYC’s U-16 and U-19 boys teams play throughout Northern Virginia in games scheduled by the Suburban Friendship League (SFL).  The SFL divides its U-16 and U-19 leagues into two Divisions to provide a competitive level of play in both Divisions.  Adjustments to the teams assigned to the two divisions are made at the end of each season, based on win/loss records, to assure that there is a level of parity for competitive games the following season.

An additional bonus to playing through the SFL is the season-ending tournament.  Teams are seeded into small groupings according to an SFL formula that adjusts their season standings to account for points given for forfeits and other technical issues, giving every team an opportunity to play against teams of similar ability and to win.

BRYC plans to field teams at both age levels in the FPYC All Star Cup tournament at the end of the recreational soccer season.
