U11 Girls Cheering Section - Way to go BRYC families!

U9 Girls Team B coached by Diane Schiesl won both their games on Saturday by a score of 5-0. They faced a strong FPYC team on Sunday morning to determine placement in the Championship game. The final result was a 2-2.

U13 Boys coached by Mohamed Kabia lost both games on Saturday- but by very close margins (1-2). The boys played with a lot of heart and skill.

U9 Girls Team A was coached Chris Massey. We steadily improved during the tournament. After a halftime score of 0-0 in our first game on Saturday the heat and our opponents were too much and we lost 0-3. After getting down 0-1 in the second game we tied it at 1-1 and were starting to pressure our opponents when a thunderstorm forced the game to end. The team game out strong and won 2-0 on Sunday morning. We finished a solid 3rd out of 6 teams in our division and narrowly missed the championship game. Overall the team enjoyed the tournament and were good representatives for BRYC soccer.

U19 Boys Team -- A Picture is worth 1000 words. If one of the objectives of coaching and playing the game of soccer is for the players to enjoy themselves then I think these photos indicate we’ve accomplished our goal ;-)

Lost 2-0 in our 1st game on Saturday and then got rained out for the evening game. Came back strong against a determined team on Sunday to win 3-1 in a physical match. Missed making the championship round by a couple of points and who knows what impact our rain-cancelled game had on that opportunity.
