BRYC is extremely pleased to announce "Catch the Spirit", BRYC’s night to watch the Washington Spirit in the new National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL). The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM on the evening of May 11 at the beautiful Maryland Soccerplex. It will be just the fourth game of the Spirit’s young season but the last chance to "Catch the Spirit" at home until mid June. You don’t want to miss it!
The Spirit’s opponent will be the Boston Breakers, with US National Women’s Team, forward Sydney Leroux and midfielder Heather O’Reilly. The Spirit have their own share of extremely talented women including US National Women’s Team members goalie Ashlyn Harris, midfielder Lori Lindsey, and defender Ali Krieger. Better than that, the Spirit have Defender Kika Toulouse who grew up in the area and played on six Virginia State Cup championship teams for BRYC!
BRYC has arranged for discounted $15 (regularly $20) tickets to the game. BRYC’s U11 and U12 Girls are especially invited to attend, with the first sixteen who purchase tickets invited to participate in the "team tunnel" that welcomes the Spirit and the Breakers onto the field before the game. But it isn’t just for them. It’s for boys and girls and families of all ages. Talk it up with your teammates and coach and get a group together!
