July Volkswagen Coach of the Month - Mitch Peyser

"Mitch Peyser coaches house soccer for Braddock Road Youth Club (BRYC) in Virginia. With no prior experience with the game, he began coaching after seeing his kids take up soccer. Mitch has been coaching his son Jacob’s team during spring and fall for the last five years. In addition, he has coached BRYC All Star Teams for the four seasons. His team won a championship in each of the last two tournaments. Mitch’s focus is always on learning, sportsmanship, and fun. He loves to see the boys have a good time and play their best. When he’s not coaching the boys, he likes to kick the ball around with his daughter Madeline. Mitch was nominated by his son Jacob Peyser."

Formal recognition of Mitch’s honor came during halftime of DC United’s game against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, July 18.  To make the evening even more special, DC United won the contest 3-1!
