Eagle Scout Hopeful Aids BRYC Soccer

First Aid Kits to be Distributed to Teams

Trevor Hogan, a member of BRYC Soccer, chose to help BRYC with his Eagle Scout Project.  His troop, 807, helped him solicit donations from stores and assemble first aid kits.

Donations and cash were received from throughout the Braddock Road Community; the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Wakefield Ward donated a large amount of supplies.  Walmart gave a $75 gift card, with which the scouts were able to buy a large number of their pre-made first aid kits.  Rite-Aid Pharmacy donated a $25 gift card; Target gave a $25 gift card; Safeway gave a$15 gift card; and Zask Medical Supply donated a variety of gauze bandages.

The Scouts were able to take the pre-made first aid kits and beef them up with extra supplies to handle sports first aid. Trevor was very thankful for the opportunity to give back to the league that lets him play and have a lot of fun.

Congratulations and thanks to Trevor and the Scouts of Troop 807.  Their hard work and dedication rallied the community to support scouting and youth sports activities in the area.  The first aid kits will allow the children of Braddock Road Youth Club to have another safe and fun-filled year of recreational soccer.
